Remember the post I made a while back on how you could take words and put them into an awesome collage?
WELL. I figured out in photoshop how to make an different version using the same basic idea an concept. Except kindasortareally cooler.
[& why yes, I do love this song].
It’s not the cleanest photoshop job in the world, but I’m overall really happy with it. : )

It’s been a while since I last posted a picture that I’ve photoshopped or edited. Mostly because I’ve been focussing more on photography lately. However, today, I rediscovered working in Photoshop. I’ve been using GIMP for the past couple years, and switching over to Photoshop has been a challenge at times.
But today, something clicked. And here’s one of the results.
Perhaps this is a day early, but I couldn’t really post it tomorrow because that’s when the 365 challenge starts [:gulp:] and I did this last year for French class.
Anywho, I hope you all have an incredibly blessed New Year. ❤
I made this last year for a French assignment. Took the snowman picture [and helped build him too!]

I just realized–actually, I realized a while back, but I didn’t bother to do anything about it–the majority of my posts have been of photography. Not that’s a bad thing, but I need a bit more variety.
I found the picture while back while looking for background pics for editing. I just thought it fit so appropriately with the lyrics [from “Your Guardian Angel,” of course], and now I use it as my forum signature picture at times.
Edited in GIMP.
I’ve lately developed a love for collages and mixed media. Well, at least when using graphic programs that is. : P
I got almost all the photos used in this project from just searching photos online for other projects. My favorite picture is the one of the boy and the bird cage. It makes me happy in a sad sort of way.
Oh, yeah. I love hugs. ; )
The other day, I found this spiffy little website called Wordle. You stick text in, and an image with a “word cloud” comes out. It’s really rather fun to play around with. The only problem with the site is that you can’t download the image, so you have to take a screenshot and crop it instead.
I entered in the text to one of my favorite songs in the world, “Your Guardian Angel” by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and came out with this. And if you haven’t heard the song, go listen to it. It’s beautiful. ❤

I’m really not terribly into self-portraits, but after listening to Owl City’s “Dear Vienna” five bazillion times and after visiting a graphic-art-focused college, I had to give this idea a go. Picture initially edited in Picnik, then further edited in GIMP.
